Mission and Values
Mission
The Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation is dedicated to helping others help themselves. The Foundation advances this mission primarily through supporting and encouraging the expansion of knowledge, the experience of arts and culture, and the improvement of well-being.
Values
Through our foundation and corporate giving, our philanthropic investments are guided by our C.A.R.E. values, which embrace community, arts, responsibility and entrepreneurship.
Community
Through the Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation we strive to make an impact in the local communities where we live and work. Our regions of focus are North Texas and Napa Valley.
Arts
Craig and Kathryn believe deeply in the fundamental importance of art to humanity, and in making art accessible to all. The Foundation invests in the arts primarily in North Texas and Napa Valley, focusing on supporting local arts organizations, increasing access to art, and ensuring that arts funding is inclusive.
Responsibility
We are guided by a sense of responsibility to serve our communities and our neighbors. Our investment in visionary community projects such as Klyde Warren Park in the Dallas Arts District, OLE Health clinic in Napa Valley, and the Dallas Holocaust Museum, along with programs that provide hunger relief, arts access, and educational opportunities, are all part of a greater effort to serve and give back to our communities.
Entrepreneurship
We believe that responsible entrepreneurs can be a catalyst for positive change in our communities and the world. Since the inception of the Foundation in 1977, we have initiated and supported programs that foster entrepreneurship and opportunity, such as the Fulbright-Kathryn and Craig Hall Distinguished Chair for Entrepreneurship in Central Europe, and the Dallas Regional Office of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. In honor of the 50th anniversary of HALL Group in 2019, we are launching the Bridge the Gap program which supports inclusive entrepreneurship programs nationwide.
